Range 2 (slide 19)
We're a few miles west on Mulholland, having ridden through the sea of clouds and gotten wet and cold in the process. On Mulholland as it climbs out of the valley there's a big turnout and viewpoint. This view is looking east, showing the San Gabriel Mountains on the skyline. They're another east-west range caused by tectonic shoving. Los Angeles is at their feet.
