Roiling White (slide 4)
Here we're looking northwest from a turnout about half a mile below where Piuma Road crosses to the north side of Saddle Peak. Down in the valley are horse farms and Malibu Creek State Park, beneath the tail of cloud running to the west. That's the way I'm going. Mulholland Highway climbs the mountains in the distance to the left. On the skyline to the right are the Topatopa Mountains, where condors live.
In the clouds to the lower right, where the dip in the shadow meets the bright rock ridge, you can faintly see a cloud glory. I was so fascinated with it that I stayed here for several minutes photographing as the clouds slowly flowed down the valley.
