Finally, I'm finished This is the desired result of all the work. It's ready to carve, very solid, about as solid as a pile of sand can be. Despite the solidity, it's still sand and has to be carved carefully. All of my formed sculptures since 96F-18 have been made this way. The man sitting in the background is Ken Fung, a friend from work.
Note that this cylindric pile only works with good sand. In contests where the sand is coarse, the piles have collapsed as soon as the form was removed.
