Site, Bicycle and Equipment Images

It's a sunny Memorial Day, about 8 AM. This view looks southwest; you can see the Breakwater and the storm drain it protects. The tide is going down, leaving seaweed and other detritus in a curving line.

In the foreground you see my bicycle and sculpture kit. It's much easier to carry my equipment on the bike than to drive a car, pay to park and then have to carry everything to the beach. The black item to the far right is my sand filter.

const02.jpg Equipment detail: Clockwise from the left: the red bag holds my camera tripod. Above it is the tamping stick, bamboo reinforced with fiberglass and about six feet long. Next is the sailcloth form, rolled. Then the level, with the sprayer's black handle just to the right. You can barely see the orange sprayer itself behind the carrier on the bike. The next long item is the clamp for the form, then the shovel. Next is the aluminum ring that holds the form erect. Below it is the black multi-purpose tub, with buckets to the left. On top of the carrier are an envelope holding information sheets, and a portfolio of inkjet sculpture prints. Inside the carrier is my pack, holding cameras, clothing, lunch and various other essential small things.
