When I did the Sierra Club Camera Committee show, I invited the audience to come to the next sculpture. Several came out to watch and take photographs.

My friends Rocket and Andi helped build the pile. What a difference that makes! I have lots more energy for carving. The pile went up too fast; we wound up having an uncontrollable overhang that collapsed when we unwrapped it.

Two of the people from the Camera Committee wound up becoming good friends. Lorna and Rich have come out repeatedly, photographing and offering general support. Many times their photos are the only ones I got due to construction failure; they shoot as I work.

It was a good day. Steve started warning me about the tide around noon. Eventually it actually showed up, along with these gulls come by to criticize.
